Xenia studied at Middlesex and Westminster Universities, where she obtained a BA (Hons) in Writing and Publishing and an MFA in Theatre Directing. She has worked and studied alongside professional directors in several productions. Her studies took her to Russia and Spain, where she further developed her theatre skills through mastering the techniques of Meyerhold, Stanivlasky and Michael Chekov. Some of her influences come from Beckett, Pinter, Eunesco, Duras, Marber and Peter Brook.

Xenia also draws her inspiration from the diverse issues that shape life’s relationships. She believes that ‘by getting to know your closest relationships, you will begin to understand your world. It is then that you can take the paint brush of life and create a greater picture’.
