Light, sound and magic - here it comes true. Sebastian Zeitschnitt does not settle for one medium only.

After having acted several years in an awarded school theater group, he started studying philosophy in 2000 in Frankfurt/Main and attended a technical film training (camera and sound) while working for German TV. Sick of all the news, documentaries and commercials, he then fled to the theater again and worked for the Schaupielhaus Frankfurt. To develop further skills, he then went to a private film school to study directing, editing and special effects, since his strongest passion had always been for film making!
Sebastian's first film was shot in 1996, a 20 minutes stop-motion animation film telling a very philosophical story about men and women; showing Barbie and Ken dolls struggling against evil monsters.
His next film "Hintertür" (1997) was a highly controversial, very stylized short film about suicide.
In 2004 there followed another short film, "Non Serviam", a psychologic-magical self-portrait, for which Sebastian was almost kicked out of and banned from his hometown after having desecrated the local church while shooting.
Before the small town bigotry and small-mindedness could get grasp of him and paralyze his art, he decided to move to Berlin. The doomed city, the moloch, the New Babylon of Germany challenged him, both personally and artistically.
"Hintertür" and "Non Serviam" were then both screened at the first Tromanale Underground Film Festival in Berlin in 2005.
Soon he shot his first "funny" short film: "Der neue Wald/The front line" (2005) is a satitrical study about the modern man and his new hunting grounds, the big supermarkets and was screened at the second Tromanale Underground Film Festival in Berlin in 2006 as well as at the Ongoing Film Festival in Stuttgart.
In the same year he started filming the dark, brutal and already four year old script of "Das Schema K". A short version of this film ("K - Der Film) was also screened at the second Tromanale Underground Film Festival in Berlin in 2006 and was highly appreciated, both by the audience and some film critics of the Open German Film Database, who called the short film "an exceptional film from the independent sector" and "really astonishing" (www.ofdb.de).
In the hot summer of 2006 additional sequences were shot for a feature length version of "Das Schema K", which was finished now in September 2006 and is now ready for festival screenings and DVD release.
In June 2006 he has met the disputed dutch cult director Edwin Brienen and edited his second feature film "Hysteria", which was screened at the Berlin cinema "Brotfabrik". Sebastian's noise/industrial band wrote and contributed songs for the score.
In October this year, Sebastian Zeitschnitt will shoot his second feature, a trash horror comedy action film about mutant killer-kebabs.
Having completed two full projects with him, Sebastian's Berlin crew and colleague artists were fully seduced by his energy, mindfucking funny spiral thoughts and gloomy ideas and more than ready to form the "Circle of Bohemia", Sebastian's ever-existing elite blackandwhite-multicoloured striped arcane club of film artists, actors and technicians willing to do everything for art.
So later this year he will start shooting the first "Circle of Bohemia" project, a dark, nihilistic, obscure and spiralling series about an absinthe drinking psi-pathologist and his detective partner trying to solve the most bizarre murder cases with rather uncommon methods.
